We feel that the most important stories to share right now involve the recent recalls on Springfield XD-S and Smith & Wesson M&P Shield firearms due to their popularity. If you own either or both of these, please read the below stories to see if you are affected by the manufacturer's recall.
Springfield XD-S Recall
Click here to go to Springfield Armory's website and see if your XD-S is part of this safety recall. Both 9mm and .45 ACP firearms are affected by this recall. We have sent our XD-S in as it was in the recall. We have not received it back yet, and it does say to send without any accessories, but we did leave our TALON Grip on it. We are not sure yet if they will remove it or not.
Smith & Wesson M&P Shield Recall
Click here to go to Smith & Wesson's site regarding this Consumer Safety Alert and Inspection Procedure. If you own an M&P Shield manufactured before August 19th (meaning all of the ones on the street) then you need to refrain from using it until it is inspected.
