TALON News

TALON Grips was thrilled to exhibit at SHOT Show 2014 for the first time. We had an incredible response from members of the Armed Forces community, all realms of Law Enforcement, and the competitive shooting communities. We gained a ton of exposure to people that had not yet heard of TALON Grips, and got to meet hundreds of loyal fans and supporters. We also want to send out a special thank you to Hickok45 for hanging out at our booth and spending some time with us. Here is his new Glock 42 video if you haven't yet seen it.

We teamed up with Line Of Fire (LOF) at SHOT Show and have worked on the TALON Grips Featuring the LOF Grip System. This is a two part system that features Part A: LOF Gloves with the proprietary TEGS (Technically Enhanced Grip System) along with Part B: TALON Grips also made with the TEGS material. This grip system creates a 270% increase in friction providing unmatched "grip" on your firearms or tools. Look for TALON Grips to be available in the TEGS material in the upcoming months.

We are really excited to get our review back by the National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA). TALON Grips scored a 4.81 out of a possible 5!  We will be posting the full review on the TALON TALK page shortly.

Are Shooting Ranges The New Bowling Alleys?

The traditional American shooting range is extending its range.

In Summerville, S.C., for example, the ATP Gunshop & Range stages community-minded blood drives and Toys for Tots collections. Twice a week there are ladies' nights, where women can learn to fire pistols and receive free T-shirts.

The Freestate Gun Range in Middle River, Md., has staged competitive, poker-style target games and zombie shoots. The Family Shooting Center in Aurora, Colo., showcases gourmet elk and pheasant bratwursts. The Governors Gun Club under construction in Powder Springs, Ga., will feature a members' lounge and bar.

"Warm up this winter at an indoor shooting range," trumpets the National Shooting Sports Foundation, the trade association of the firearms industry. "You can teach family and friends to shoot, or you can sign them up for a class. What better way to spend a Saturday or Sunday afternoon than enjoying quality time together doing an activity you enjoy?"

"I installed the black rubber TALON grip on my Springfield XDs .45 because I found the stock checkering on the grip to be pretty abrasive on my hand when firing. I followed the supplied instructions and the TALON grip installed perfectly. It looks great and made my XDs much more comfortable to shoot.
