From the days of the very first hand cannons, firearms have traditionally been stocked in wood. Even in this age of synthetics and miracle polymers, a number of hardwood species still prove eminently suitable for this task. With the exception of the higher-grade walnut species, hardwoods are still plentiful, the wood is easily machined — which facilitates cost-reducing mass production — and properly protected and maintained wood will serve generations of shooters and hunters.

"I've have both the rubber version on my CZ Scorpion EVO 3 and the gritty version on my harder recoiling Kel-Tec KSG 12 ga for a few weeks now, and I've got to say you folks have knocked it outta da park with your grips!! They are absolutely amazing, they really are. Seriously tho, your grips are an excellent product and allow me to shoot some guns I otherwise couldn't. I'm a 63 year old that can only use the left hand and arm to prop a gun up. I have no weak side gripping or holding capability, so without your grip covers there is no way I could shoot a KSG, and even the Scorpion would be a lot to handle. I'm so impressed with your stuff I'm considering a half dozen or so of your 5x7 panels to put on the grips and bottom of the forends on my deer rifles this fall. Thanks again for an amazing product and story behind your company!"
